My Teaching Philosophy

Firstly, what it is means by 'Teaching Philosophy'...

Philosophy is the study of general and fundamental problems concerning matters such as existence, knowledge, values, reason, mind, and language.[1][2] Philosophy is distinguished from other ways of addressing these questions (such as mysticism or mythology) by its critical, generally systematic approach and its reliance on reasoned argument.[3] Philosophy comes from the Greek φιλοσοφία [philosophia], which literally translates to "love of wisdom".



Teaching is an action of a person especially teacher that educates people.In education, a teacher is a person who educates others. A teacher who educates an individual student may also be described as a personal tutor. The role of teacher is often formal and ongoing, carried out by way of occupation or profession at a school or other place of formal education. In many countries, a person wishing to become a teacher at state-funded schools must first obtain professional qualifications or credentials from a university or college...

As the future teacher, I have set up my teaching philosophy because every teacher have their own way of teaching. For me, the most important thing in education is relationship between teachers and students. As a teacher, we should make good communication with the student. With the good communication we will know more about the student in the class. Different student will need different way of attention. Not only that, as a teenagers their souls is full with rebellion. So, to control the rebellious action, we need to understand their feeling and share their problem. A teacher is not only need to teach in class but also need to be a good friend to the student as they spent a lot of time in the school. Not only that, I will not give strict rules in my class because I want the student to enjoy learning the subject. If they enjoy the learning, it will be easier for them to understand. I will also give a lot of exercises to my student because "practices makes perfect". By doing the exercises, the student can apply the concept that they have learned so that they will easily understand and memorize certain topics. Moreover, I will use a lot of graphic in presenting the teaching process. With the aid of graphic and colours, the student will not be bored in the class and can give full attention towards the P&P.

Not only that, as a teacher we also need to keep good relationship with parents. If the student have some problem, we need to tell their parent and if possible co-operate with them to solve the problem. This action actually can prevent the student not involved in unhealthy act such as vandalisme, smoking and many more...



Lastly, we also need to tolerate and co-operate with other student. Because we are in the same field, we have to co-operate and unite so that good students can be produced. Co-operation among the teachers will make the school harmony and excel in education...
